(Walk -Oct 10th 2016) Moel Hebog is one of the mountains in  Snowdonia’s national park near the village of Beddgelert. The route we took was from the free car park near to the village on the A4085.Turn right out of the car park then walk for about 300 yards and turn left. There is a sign which says private  but this is the way to the footpath on the mountain. The path is marked with the yellow acorn sign. We stuck to the paths all the way to the top. On this occasion that worked well as the cloud dropped and visibility was down to about 10  feet.  On a nice  day you can see the  North Wales coastline,  Nantlle Ridge and Snowdon. The weather changed in 15 minutes from sunny and clear to cloudy, misty, cold and wet but cleared as quick as it appeared. Always go prepared.Rucksack, good walking boots, hot drink, snacks, warm clothing and water proofs and gloves. It can get very cold and wet even in the summer.MH11477038383 MH21477038382 MH51477038379 MH31477038380 MH61477038382 MH71477038380 MH81477038383 MH91477038383 MH101477038382MH111477038383Always take a small rucksack with items of warm  clothing and a hot drink. After a steep descent to into   Bwlch Meillionen the walk continues along the ridge of the neighbouring peaks Moel Yr Ogof and Moel Lefn.
