Raby Mere is a hamlet on the Wirral  known for its mere, a lake that has been used for leisure purposes it the past. Although it is a well known beauty spot the area around the lake is restricted. If you catch a glance at the fish they are quite large. It was quite disappointing not being able to walk around the lake.

It is a great pity that the ducks which where so many as to require road safety warnings have disappeared completely since the lake has been taken over by the new fishing club , even the signets have disappeared . The site has had ducks for over 40 years , with winter geese flying in each year . Cars had to slow down as the ducks rested on the road each a space apart ,hence the road signs
Am I the only one to have noticed the disappearance ?
