The Old Corn Mill Hawarden is situated not far from the Tinkersdale car park . The footpath into the woods starts from the car park and leads to the old corn mill which was built in 1767 for Sir John Glynne. The corn mill was abandoned by the 1940s. The building has collapsed but you can see the waterwheel, the large metal drive shafts, gears, and grinding stones which still lay on the ground.
